Love Thy Neighbour: The Cry for Gaza
The tragedy of Gaza is not a story in isolation — it is a reflection of our shared humanity and the urgent necessity of compassion. The plight of Palestinians, especially the innocent children and decent families caught in a cycle of despair, demands not only our sympathy but our immediate action.
Neighbouring states — Arab and non-Arab alike — must rise to the call of faith, dignity, and simple human duty. Love thy neighbour is not a slogan but a command. Aid and refuge must be offered to those who are desperate for bread, water, medicine, and shelter. These families are not pawns of war; they are the future of a people.
We must say this clearly: The United States of America cannot and will not endorse genocide. History has already taught us, in the bitter lessons of the Second World War, what silence and complicity cost. We will not allow Netanyahu, nor any government, to clear Gaza at the expense of humanity. No political ambition, no alliance, no so-called strategy can justify the destruction of a people.
The time for words alone has passed. Action must come now — from Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and beyond. Aid convoys, medical care, and safe passage must be established. And the global Christian community, alongside allies across this planet, must speak with one voice: Gaza will not be abandoned.
In this moment, the children of Gaza call to us all. They deserve peace, dignity, and a tomorrow. It is not only a necessity. It is the measure of who we are as human beings.
